As all boaters know, a vacation isn't complete until you've had a boating problem. Well, we got ours out of the way yesterday (famous last words, I know!). We packed up and ran for the water when we woke up to sunshine and no wind. Everything was fine - right up until we realized we had no battery power. The marina was quiet and they tried to help us jump the battery and test its strength - all to no avail. So, we got to hang out in the launch area for an hour or so before we finally gave in the towel and realized we weren't going to get out on the water. Thank goodness it wasn't a busy Saturday.
Quinn didn't seem to mind though. He and I walked the parking lot and had a picnic lunch while Don worked with the maintenance people. Quinn pointed out all the trucks and boats to me! They tell us the boat is ready to go for today....take two!
Discussing the issue....

Don's not totally buying Quinn's analysis of the problem (which involved the word truck...)

After getting back home, we pulled out Q's water ball and let him play. But he thought it was more of a drinking fountain than anything else!

Hey -- at least Quinn is drinking liquids that way. A well-hydrated kid is a happy kid. ; )
Don, I love the vacay beard!
